Walnut Studios

Well faithful readers, I’m back. After having meandered around the US for the last 15 months as PathLessPedaled, I find myself in Portland. I’ll be ramping up EC again with some more bikey goodness.
To kick things off, I’m posting a video I made for BikePortland in a series I’m calling Pedal People. I’ll be making multimedia stories on all things bike related in PDX. Here is one that may interest EC readers. Geof, of Walnut is doing some spectacular work and is taking the common pannier to new and exotic places (incorporating cedar wood!).
Enjoy the video and thanks for reading.

As a hobby leather-crafter, I’m really drawn to these. Although probably not the lightest of most functional bag, they are beautiful. I’ve tooled my own mud flaps with a Celtic design and I’ve been looking around the internet for inspiration for a leather saddle bag project. This has given me some ideas, although I doubt I could create anything as nice as these.
